There is little that the High Cultist of the Order and the High Council of Witches agree on, save for the fact that they both believe that the world is a better place when both the rights of creators are enforced and collaboration is fostered.
Given that, here are the details regarding usage of the worldbuilding at this site (https://theorderofthedarkwheel.com), the tabletop card game Cult Crafter, the tabletop RPG game Sisters of the Dawn, and any related content created and by Rick Kitagawa. (Last updated January 29, 2026).
If you’ve created a game (or want to publish your own adventure/campaign) inspired by the Order of the Dark Wheel, the Abyssal Void demons, the Blue Skulls, Cult Crafter, and/or the Sisters of the Dawn and would like to publish it, please do. If you’re using my exact text, imagery, character or spell or item names, or the non-Arabic glyphs and sigils, you need my permission, per copyright law.
If you aren’t using the above, I would love to hear from you! That said, you don’t need my permission at all – please just include a line in your credits or notes page to the effect that your game was inspired by The Order of the Dark Wheel/the Sisters of the Dawn by Rick Kitagawa.
If you’d like to use the sigils of either the Order or the Sisters, you do need my permission. Please contact me (rick @ rickkitagawa.com) so I can grant said permission. I will offer it as long as you aren’t doing some bigoted, Nazi-type hateful-type bullshit and/or you used generative AI in the creation of it.
To clarify – if you want to publish a campaign where witches are setting Nazis on fire, then that’s cool. But anything promoting hate or fascism is the exact opposite of what this world is about.
